Developers Courted by Netgear as Smart Network Cloud App Platform Is Revealed

This week Netgear unveiled its Smart Network Cloud Application Platform (SNCP) to developers at the atCES 2012 conference. SNCP allows consumers to buy and download apps, enabling them to optimize and customize networking devices via the cloud.

Netgear's Smart Network apps include games, tools and utilities and can be created by any interested developers. They are able to develop apps relating to data and energy usage, and game developers could create apps that are able to optimize the connection for high-bandwidth games.
