Microsoft's BI Tools Coming to iOS, Windows 8 and Android Devices

Microsoft's mobile business intelligence (BI) roadmap was announced last week at the Microsoft SQL PASS Summit last week. While BI Solutions includes many packages including PowerPivot, Excel, SharePoint and reporting services, the biggest news was that it will be coming soon to iOS, Windows 8 and Android devices.

Initially Microsoft plans to enable its current corporate BI web-based solutions to run in browsers on Apple's iOS and Windows devices. Next it will add touch support for data exploration and visualization for the same products on iOS, Android and Microsoft platforms.
