When developers are considering a cloud platform, the programming language they wish to use has to be taken into consideration. If they are considering Microsoft Azure, they have a choice of different languages, including PHP, Java, Ruby and .Net.

Developers need to think about Azure as an operating system in the cloud, which adds additional layers of flexibility when it comes to implementation. They are able to continue to use the programming languages they are using on other projects, and leverage the skills they have worked so hard to obtain.
