Flexible and scalable Microsof .NET framework?

Virgin airlines this week experienced its second crash of their "Navitaire New Skies" reservation system which runs on Microsoft Windows .NET framework and is used by over 70 airlines.

Not for Virgin ailine it isnt. They would just like to see it work.
