SQL Server 2005 SP 4 coming soon

Because of customer demands Microsoft will release a fourth service pack for the 5 year old database in the 4th quarter of 2010.

Extended support for SQL Server 2005 will be available through 4/12/2016. SQL Server program manager Matthias Berndt also reaffirmed that Microsoft planned to release SQL Server 2008 SP2 in the third quarter of 2010.

Microsoft will release Service Pack 4 for SQL Server 2005 later this year.
