Microsoft Silverlight and NBC teaming up for the Winter Games

After the success of Beijing 2008, Microsoft Silverlight is again the player of choice for NBC’s online viewing experience of the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver.

With Silverlight, viewers can rewind and fast forward the action, or use pause and slow-motion. The player also scales the quality of the video to whatever a user’s machine can handle, delivering up to 720p – the highest resolution possible under current digital television standards.

NBC and Silverlight have teamed up to bring Winter Games to the Web in high definition.
