When I posted this article I was hoping for constructive opinions about the usage of the hosts file and not crude comments with no substance. Simply saying that something does not work is not enough, you need to provide more details or insight into why it isn't woorking.
In the case of this program, it looks for the ip addresses of advertisers and blocks those ip addresses by adding them to the hosts file. In testing on ALL Windows platforms I found that a 5 MEG hosts file presented no problem. I also found that if I instaled a "Spyware" program that writes constantly to the hosts file, that the computer would "lock up." I think some users may have a spyware program running that they are not aware of and that is why they experienced a problem.
I submitted a new zip file with a smaller hosts file which solves this problem regardless of the cause. I do not know if it was posted yet but you ca simply edit the hosts file to have only 100 lines and that will also solve the problem.
The main purpose of the program is to find SPECIFIC ip address of problem sites and add only those to your hosts file.

Unless it is registered - you do not own anything. Someone else or another business entity can use your trademark (or worse go and register it). You may object and depending on how the legal case go they may in some circumstances prevent you from using it. And that would be more likely to be the case unless your some super big giant - if you were then you would have already registered by now.
It is your trademark like you say. Do you have that on paper to show me where it says that???

Copy a few lines of generally available
information and use it to tell how
great your program is.
No wonder this guy is in the add bussiness.
I guess this guy gets paid for every (tm) he
can put on one page.
I hope the codeguru webmaster will take this
one offline!

This has no technology ??? Its just full of air.
1) Never ever block sites using HOST FILE. That explins your capabilities.
2) Never ever use IP helper API's cause IPhelper sucks with win 9x.
Just wondering.........
