Thanks for the classes, it works very good in Debug mode but not release.
What I tried to do is to place a Frame window in a MDIChildFrame window. The caption works fine for both the MDIChildFrame and the child Frame in side the MDIChildFrame in debug mode, but not in release mode.
I created a new AppWizard SDI,no doc/view support and add the whole CustomCaption as a project inside the created project. I add CSingleLineCaption as my CMainFrame's member variable. Build OK. But when running the app, it crash after CSingleLineCaption.Install(this) same as I think Ismail was facing. But I did download the demo from codeguru and compile it and everything when smooth so I don't think it is a OS nor IDE problem. Can someone help me here.
Anyway, my problem is, as i wrote as title, termination of application immediately!
I am using NT 4.0 with SP6a, US locale, 320MB RAM, etc.
I first created an empty workspace and use MFC EXE wizard. I ve not made any changes (app is barely an SDI with no doc and printing support), I added CSingleLineCaption header file, put CustomCaption.lib in to libraries in project settings. CSingleLineCaption is in main frame of app. I built my entire project. But whenever i try to execute it, program terminates immediately! I even cannot see the process of application in task manager.
But CSingleLineCaption workes properly in my old project, I mean I installed the CSingleLineCaption into one of my old projects for gradient captions.
Anyway, do you think that problem is WinNT? Or me? :P

... like those found in i.e. Sonique MP3-player? My guess is that you create a transparent window somehow (as a "bounding box") and then use a bitmap to define the shape/look of the window. And finally add some custom controls for dragbars, close/minimize-button and so on...
Am I right, or completely lost? :)
What's the best approach? Any sample-code out there?
When resizeing the window using the top border and draging the border up and down the caption doesn't seem to be keeping up with the mouse dragging (it looks like it is off by one pixel). Do you know where that can that be fixed?
Thank you,thank your greate library.
I consult you another question, that is,How can I change the style of the system button, such as the maximize button,or create one bitmap button (or other cool button)on the caption to replace the system button?
thank in advance.
