Hello Jsep!
I work with Direct Draw for now and looking up the optimal method for drawing bitmaps on DD surfaces. I have several questions.
- Why do we need to call IDirectDrawSurface::Restore() immediately after creation of the surface? (How can it be lost at that time?)
- How can I move the image to the different place on the same surface without redrawing it? To use device contexts is a slow method as noted in some articles on CodeGuru. So to blit a bitmap with DC once is a good idea.
Thank You.

Hi,
I can't find anywhere some good classes for Direct3D Retained Mode & Immediate mode. On www.vcdj.com are some good classes for Direct3D, but they are incomplete and uses STL (I can't improve them because I am not very familiar with STL).
Maybe someone could post a good class for Direct3D, at least just a start ...
Best Regards,

Complement, these classes are fantastic, with one single mistake. There is no possibility to manipulate a Surface directly if necessary.

It would be better if the you can load the bitmap directly from a FastFile into the surface...
Other improvements, like DirectSound or Direct3D would be cool ... (I can give a help hand if needed, I
am no DirectX eXpert ...)
