There are a number of open source content management systems and tools being used to build web sites today. Among the top that I see mentioned the most are WordPress, DotNetNuke, Drupal, and Joomla. I'm also seeing Umbraco mentioned more in conversations as well because it supports .NET.

We've added site pinning to several of our sites including Codeguru. In order to see the site pinning, you need to be using Internet Explorer 9 or later. This will allow you to drag and pin an icon to the taskbar. In Windows this pinned icon on the task bar will provide a menu when you click on it. You'll be able to access core areas of Codeguru as well as see what the most recent articles were the last time you were on the site. Clicking the icon will open the Codeguru site in a special browser window.

We do a lot of business with Microsoft on our sites. There are two things we have happening with Microsoft that I thought I should pass along. Firstly, we have a Cloud Computing Showcase that has been created where we have a number of resources on Windows Azure. The second is that we have a link to a free 30 day Windows Azure Platform trial. This is access to try out the features of Azure without having to pay any money.

Microsoft Silverlight 4 released about a month ago. Microsoft has now released their Silverlight 4 tools for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 within the Microsoft download center Silverlight 4 Tools page.

Microsoft has announced in a Press Release that Silverlight 3 and Expression 3 are now available. You can go to the Silverlight home page and download the newest version.I did this today and successfully downloaded and started the install of the new version:
