Volvo is Using Microsoft HoloLens

One of the exciting things coming out of Microsoft is the Microsoft Hololens. You can actually apply now to be on the list to get the developer edition of Hololens, which will be available in the first quarter of 2016 for $3000 US. With this release to the more general developer community coming soon, it is no surprise that Microsoft has partners already starting to talk. In fact, Volvo is now talking about Hololens.

Volvo is looking to apply the Hololens to help in the car buying process as well as many other areas. In addition to being able to gather information, you’ll be able to look around and within a virtual car. You might even  be able to disassemble the car to look at the engine or various parts to see just what it is you are considering to buy. Following is a video from Volvo talking about how they are looking at Hololens.
