Microsoft is increasing the size of the Microsoft Build Conference in June. For those that didn't register before it sold out, signing the wait list might have been a move that pays off!
The first keynote at Microsoft Build 2012 talked about Windows 8, Windows 8 devices and Windows Phone 8. I provide a high-level overview of some of what was covered.
Many movies today show futuristic computing systems. This includes screens that can materialize in the air in front of the user and then be controlled with the appearance of touch and gestures. While displaying a screen in thin air is not available yet, the ability to recognize gestures is pretty close and getting better thanks to Microsoft's Kinect.

In today's MSDN Flash that was delivered to my mailbox, it stated that the Windows 7 RTM would be available for MSDN Subscribers on August 6th. It is interesting that the link in the newsletter didn't go to a page that confirmed this. The exact wording was:
