Watch out Chrome. Stand back Firefox. Move over Safari. At high noon (EDT), Internet Explorer 8 is stepping out of beta and into the streets as a released product.

Steve Ballmer , CEO of Microsoft. “With Internet Explorer 8, we are delivering a browser that gets people to the information they need, fast, and provides protection that no other browser can match.”
IE 8 is touting better security. It also brings new features including Accelerators, Web Slices, and Visual search suggestions. You’ll be able to download Internet Explorer 8 starting at noon today from http://www.microsoft.com/ie8.
